September 23, 2014 By Anne Leave a Comment

It's now clear that, where Americans' use of digital media is concerned, mobile rules. "The days of desktop dominance are over," declares top digital market researcher comScore in its latest mobile app report. Smartphones and tablets represent 60% of Americans' digital media time, and "the fuel driving mobile’s relentless growth is primarily app usage, which alone makes up a majority of total … [Read more...] about Mobile rules in the US now too

Majority of US teens’ mobiles are smartphones

September 15, 2012 By Anne 3 Comments

"Safety, the number one reason back in 2008, has now fallen to second place with only 35% citing this … [Read more...] about US teens’ mobile use: Nielsen update

From June 2009 to this past June, "the time spent on social media accessed from PCs rose from 15.8% ... to 22.7%," with social networking topping the list of American's favorite online activity and gaming passing up email for the … [Read more...] about Americans’ social media use up 43%: Nielsen

Fresh social-Web & Net numbers

February 8, 2010 By Anne Leave a Comment

If Facebook were a country, it would be the world's third most populous one, after China and India. As for the world's most avid social networkers, Americans are 4th, behind Australians, Britons, and Italians, respectively – The Economist reports in a special report on social networking – followed by users in South Korea, Spain, Brazil, Germany, France, and Japan. The world's most popular social … [Read more...] about Fresh social-Web & Net numbers
